I'm slowly getting this. So they're basically trying to force out their 'magic' to protect them by letting them fight.

But still don't get, what happens next. Is it going to be like fight until the end or their going to be appointed to some jobs. Also, I would love to know why there are such words on their forehead, I pretty much think it's their signature, personality, or something uniquely them but why point it out though.

Anyways, real great mystery story. Then with the animation and stuff? Top of the class. Real amazing. Don't believe anything otherwise.

The quality of this webcomic is great! I can't wait for more! I bet in the future this will be more popular on the internet.

@killhailmary: From what I understand in White Wolf media, with these kinds of cults they track down mages in potential, either trick or kidnap them into some situation which is decidedly life threatening-duels to the death work nicely. Given the way this Blonde Bastard(canon name now, BTW) operates, looks like he's doing a creme of the crop, Highlander selection.

I think the traits carved onto their foreheads are how they express their deepest, worst sin. So if our rich guy is VOLATILE, he must be a wrathful person, etc. This ties in to the thing they must learn, and then conquer, about themselves to become extra powerful.

@Don Quixotes: Great, awesome explanation. I tried understanding the White Wolf media one but it was pretty much a big universe to understand in one sitting.

Anyway, I get it now. Thanks

@LOL DUDE: No capitalization or common courtesy. How old are you, five? Go back to school, learn some things.

Private school for manors too.

Seriously they work hard on comics you rude little boy.

The style of comic is perfect! The text and sound and flash, it's really unique, and is really fitting for this comic! :) I can't wait to see what happens next!

@Rae: Hey, thanks for sticking up for us, but don't bother feeding the trolls. Your happy comments about the comic are more than enough. ^_^

Wow... this comic was gripping from the start and only grew more fascinating and disturbing in equal measure. The art is beautiful - the backgrounds are gorgeous and the sprites convey genuine, heartrending expression even though their actual animation is minimal. The story... whoa. I'm not sure how you feel about Hunger Games (I loved the trilogy) but this is definitely giving me that same type of dystopian battle royale vibe - creepy and horrifying and fascinating all at once. Wow. I hope Withdrawn doesn't die! I love what you did with the traits on their foreheads, it seems like some are directly expressing theirs (Histrionic, for example) while others are forced into situations where they must override theirs (Withdrawn being forced to be viscerally, brutally involved with the fate of another human being, Arrogant powerless against his survival drive, forced to confront the fact that his actual self is not nearly as noble or smart as he hoped), etc. So interesting!!! I can't wait to see more!

@Mizamour: I don't know about the others, but Stkbayfield and I literally just watched the Hunger Games last night, and I can definitely understand where you're drawing the parallel! I'm really glad you're enjoying it so far, and thank you for the elaborate response!
