Oh wow Flux love the humility there -_-

Oh, Flux... you're the kind of person I avoid talking to, and not because you're a bad person.

You always have to watch out for the goofy or laid back ones. There's usually a reason that they can act like that, and it's because they're better than they appear.

@MoroseMoros: I'm not so sure of that. She works for Amical, and I could be wrong, but I'd guess that he's the only one who genuinely isn't annoyed by her terrible attempts at being a sycophant.

@Seth: I was basically trying to say that she seems to fit this trope:

(Warning: TVtropes may create temporal distortion, causing the loss of hours or days of time)

@Seth: Great choice of words there. This gal deserves sycophant carved into her forehead. Cracked me up :3

@ChibiSilverWings: The thing is I get the sense she may be abasing herself for no good reason, merely crippling self-doubt. She fawns over Amical for fear of being cast aside, unaware of and unable to accept her own strengths.

@ChibiSilverWings: Nah, I don't she's earned that. She's trying, but she's not succeeding. Sycophants generally know what to say to be agreeable. Flux is completely clueless, and consequently ends up making a point of not expressing an unambiguous opinion on anything, which just makes her all the more annoying.

burningtyger, March 5th, 2014, 1:29 am     Reply

@Seth: Or maybe she's AFRAID to make unambiguous comments for fear of how people will react. Her behavior reminds me of how I used to act before I gained some self-confidence. I get the sense she really doesn't feel she or her opinions are worth much, even if she tries, that she "goes around kicking herself in the teeth."

@Seth & @burningtyger Glad you guys have sympathy for her annoyingness. Honestly I love writing for her so much and I'm really glad you guys are putting thought into her, because I know I do :). I'm curious to see how you guys react to the rest of this scene actually!

@burningtyger: I can definitely relate. I throw words of ambiguity everywhere reflexively. It annoys me at times, and I'm sure it annoys others. It does make good insurance though. "Well, I did say probably..."

@ChibiSilverWings: Well I do see myself as Type 1 Neutral Evil , but I would hardly consider myself a Complete Monster . Perhaps more along the lines of a Well-Intentioned Extremist .

Muahahahahaha... Muahahahahahaha... Muahahahahahaha!

@MoroseMoros: I think maybe sometimes stuff that's sorta a bit ambiguous can be somewhat helpful maybe...

Though it certainly isn't good all the time. Most people like a decisive person haha but it's scary to be decisive sometimes. Probably.

@ChibiSilverWings: If I had a supervillain name it would probably be The Time Waster, because I'm very good at it. My time wasting powers are so awesome that they even affect me!

@MoroseMoros: The amazing Time Sink! The opposite of The Flash, with all the powers of wikis and tvtropes combined with RPGs and Cookie Clicker!

@MoroseMoros: a Moros with time magic dude you must be part of the Doomsday-Clock.....causing Death and destruction by disrupting schedules and deceiving people about time.

@ChibiSilverWings: I met The Flash once, he died of old age. :D

@D3c3nd4n7: I wonder which is more frightening, the thought that I have powerful time magic, or the thought that I don't need it.

@MoroseMoros: I consider myself a Chaotic Good Trickster, so yeah, ambiguous sometimes, but usually intentional. I think there's enough room on the board for us both without an alignment fight. :P Anyway I kinda pity Flux. I think she's more capable than she lets on, but doesn't really believe it. Which is a damn pity.
