But what did they do? I thought aggression makes the spirit stronger?

It may be a spirit that feeds on shame or guilt - it is trying to guilt-trip them after every attack.
A violence spirit would be much more agressive, I guess?

Eep. Nice job on the sound effects.

Also, can everyone step back and take a moment to observe that our heroes have just killed a puppy? :P

@Arcblade: Haha thanks goes to Craig for editing the sound files of my parents dog really not enjoying his ear infection medicine.

@ChibiSilverWings: Holy crap, here I thought those were just stock sound effects! Nicely done.

@Don Quixotes: I'm super proud to say we only have about 2 stock sounds in this comic. Amical's gun is one of the only ones we couldn't get for ourselves because having a gun that sounded accurate to the type of gun he has is a bit tough without BUYING one. Plus recording gunshots is not that easy. But yeah, sound effects are mostly made by me driving all over the place to find stuff (truck stop, a friend of a friend's house for a woodburning fireplace... And so on.)

@ChibiSilverWings @Don Quixotes: Chels has done some great work collecting raw sounds and I play with them until they work for the comic.

We made an agreement as a group not to speak about how the specific sounds were achieved to prevent breaking immersion. Last thing we want is for someone to think the sound of magic is actually something silly like [example].

I enjoy the heck out of sound editing, though. I briefly GMed a sci-fi game for the morphE group and would spend a stupid amount of time doing this sort of thing for them... but really it was for me. It was always for me!

Always fun. Which reminds me, i have a sound you might want :p I wish we could have seen the puppy's anger visually though

@Viridian: Presumably, it also would've picked something more threatening than a tiny puppy if it wanted aggression...
