... to Ken, maybe, but to Asia? She knows the reason she was targeted, and that she would have been targeted whether she was investigating or not. There's no apparent connection. Okay, it's not inconceivable that this detective was also a (would-be) mage, but I'm seeing no evidence to support the theory.

@Seth: *shakes head*

Amical is looking for potential mages. We have no idea what *her* plan was. For all we know, her investigation did lead to him. In the WoD, there are so many uses for human slaves I can't imagine she exclusively sells them to mages.

*Squints at the vague "she" but decides the second one means the Blue Lady* The question is, is he captive, or was he silenced for putting his nose where it didn't belong? Some Seers might find a nosy detective a liability....

@burningtyger: A Sleepwalker detective maybe, but not a Sleeper one. It's easy to make Sleepers lose the trail due to the fact that the ignorant herd makes an actual effort to keep themselves ignorant, even if they don't know it (barring Hunters of course). In the most extreme cases, a flash of obvious magic in their face should do the trick nicely.

Besides, we don't know if there are any Seers involved with this in the first place. Okay, realistically speaking, some Seers are most likely keeping an eye on the situation at the very least. And if that Church of One is likely to be anything, it'd be Seers based on the name alone.

That said, none have actually shown up in the story yet, either directly or indirectly, as far as we know. Besides, everything we've seen so far about the "suppliers" suggests that it's a completely home-brewed group rather than an official one or has ties to an official gameline.
