@D3c3nd4n7: :) DO you think if Francis touches the collar she can eavesdrop? That would help convince her... (Hopefully without triggering Disbelief. She has to believe what she hears, right?)

@burningtyger: Unfortunately Disbelief doesn't really work that way, otherwise it's just be as simple as having a mage cast something visible to people and they'd all believe magic could be real. Sleepers can be open and willing, WANTING to see real magic, but they can still trigger paradox if they do see it. It's kinda more like an innate thing rather than a mindset or having "proof" if people can take to it and not cause paradoxes.

@Guest: OK. So Billy tells Francis Asia's communicating via radio waves/Bluetooth and he has a receiver in his ear. I think she'll believe that, particularly if he spins it as a way the victims concocted to keep in contact. Then Asia can call Francis's cell phone from Ken's house and speak to her. That ought to convince her.

@burningtyger: well she learned it chapter 6 page 34 that the people who kidnapped him were listening in via the collar so he could just play it off as a two way communicator. if she can rationolize it as something mundane it should be considered subtle but i think she'd either have to be a sleepwalker to avoid triggering a paradox for anything obviously magical without an awakening of her own.

@D3c3nd4n7: I didn't remember for certain if she'd learned that or not. Frankly the closest analogy is that Asia has "hacked" the communicator, thus letting her use the existing "spy software" to broadcast instead of just receive.
